Hung Parliament and the value of the £ – part 2

March 18th, 2010 Posted in Liberal Democrats, UK Politics by

Well, Nick might have thought the discussion about hung parliament and the value of the £ had been put to bed with his comments last week. Not so. Here is a short extract from Tuesday night’s Newsnight – an interview with Lord Steel and Terry Smith (from brokerage Tullet Prebon).

Rarely have I seen anyone praise Vince Cable as highly as Mr Smith. But note the recurring theme we are hearing from many on the business side of UK plc – that the cuts being proposed by ALL three main parties are simply insufficient for the scale of the problem.
Come on Nick, let Vince off his leash to tell it as it really is.

For all those that visited this comments section earlier and saw all those mental links I have behaved in true New Labour fashion and exspunged the lot. Not very liberal I grant you!

I do hope there is a Hung Parliament I have been waiting all my life for this in a way. After growing up in the 70’s in 1979 we had the Tories for Eighteen years of CUTS in our Services the selling off Britsh Gas,B.T, Steel, everything. I do in a way understand why Mrs Thatcher did this is beacause she had an economy in a mess. Now it’s 2010 and history is repeating it’s self. Now Instead of a shopkeepers daughter we have an Eton boy who know nothing about the real people who live in the United Kingdom.I belive we need someone who knows about the economy and Vince is the man. He has had the education in economics and he worked profesionally in the Industry. I will be voting YELLOW this time.I voted Yellow last time as well.
