I’m on Radio 4′s The World Tonight at 10pm this evening discussing Nick Clegg’s and the LibDems’ handling of the expenses scandal. My basic analysis? Pretty good, but could do more.
UPDATE: You can hear the interview here - 11 mins and 55 seconds in.

Pretty good? That’s not what they’re saying to him over on his blog. Go and have a look for a different perspective on his behaviour.

@Simon – It’s a bunch of morons from Guido’s blog. The day I start listening to them is the day I check myself into an institution…

I think Roger Alexander has it about right when he poses the following question on Clegg’s blog:
“Can you please confirm what action you are taking about the NoW report on Lord Rennard’s claim of £41,000 of taxpayers money for his second home? What happened to your ‘ton of bricks’or was this just for the television cameras?”
His failure to act over Rennard has left Clegg completely without credibility on this issue.

It was a good pitch for the party from Mark on this show but I can’t help help agreeing with Paul Embrey. Failure to act on the Rennard issue has left Nick running a three legged race with Rennard as his partner, where we had a chance to act decisively and overtake Labour.
Now we have to deal with the consequences.
